CORAL First Issue Coming Soon

With a cover story about the amazing triggerfishes, the January/February 2009 Issue of CORAL Magazine is in the works.

Contrary to many rumors circulating in the reefkeeping world, the magazine has not ceased publication but is under the roof of a new publisher in Vermont working closely with Daniel Knop and Matthias Schmidt, the German founders of KORALLE.

Circulation is set to increase by 33% in the first issue, making it the largest of the international editions of the magazine, which appears in German, French, Italian, Polish, Russian, and English. The new license to produce CORAL includes distribution throughout the English-speaking world.

Our new CORAL Subscription Center is now open at CORAL SUBSCRIPTION CENTER.

CORAL Is Alive and Well

Contrary to many fears, CORAL Magazine is alive and well.

I have just returned from Münster, Germany after meeting with CORAL founder Daniel Knop and his extremely likable publisher, Matthias Schmidt.

In brief, the next issue of CORAL is now in production here in Vermont, and our new company, Reef to Rainforest Media, has been given the privilege to create and deliver the magazine for North America and the English-speaking world.

Many of you know us from our MICROCOSM books, by such respected authors as Scott Michael, Michael Paletta, Eric Borneman, Svein Fosså & Alf Jacob Nilsen, John Tullock, Dr. Ron Shimek, Lance Ichinotsubo & Bob Goemans, Matt Wittenrich, Carl DelFavero, Joyce Wilkerson, and others. We hope to bring a new level of quality and great content to CORAL, starting with the first issue of 2009.

Subscribers should rest assured that they will not miss an issue of CORAL if they re-enlist promptly with us.

We apologize for the inconvenience involved, but those of you with CORAL subscriptions can get a refund from the former publisher if you wish. You can reinstate your subscription by clicking the order button below. We are offering a First Issue Free, followed by a full year of CORAL for just $37.

You can be the judge of the new, relaunched CORAL. As long-time friends of founder Daniel Knop, we want carry on its editorial mission and make it better than ever. CORAL has enriched our own reefkeeping experiences for the past decade, and we hope it will carry on this great tradition, starting in January.

For anyone wishing to subscribe, we have set up an interim order funnel. Click below and we will be sure you get the new CORAL, to be mailed in January.
